01/01/2026
Dear Members of the Fudokan Family,
As we welcome the New Year 2026, I extend my heartfelt greetings and sincere respect to all Fudokan practitioners, instructors, leaders, and friends around the world.
The passing year has once again reminded us that the way of Budo is not measured only by technique, rank, or competition results, but by character, perseverance, humility, and unity.
Fudokan is a path of continuous self-improvement — physically, mentally, and spiritually — and each of you carries this responsibility with your daily training and conduct.
In the year ahead, I encourage you to deepen your practice, to seek harmony between tradition and progress, and to uphold the true values of karate-do: respect, discipline, honesty, and peace.
Let us continue to build bridges between generations, cultures, and nations through mutual understanding and sincere practice.
May 2026 bring you health, strength, wisdom, and inner balance. May your training be meaningful, your spirit strong, and your heart open to learning.
Together, let us preserve the essence of Fudokan and pass it on with dignity to future generations.
I thank you for your dedication and loyalty to the Fudokan way.
With deep respect and best wishes for the New Year,
Higashiyama Sensei
