What a performance from our Swiss U18 Girls Sevens! 💪

Switzerland defeated the host nation, Hungary, 34–5 in a superb semi-final, delivering an outstanding all-round performance. Relentless defensive pressure, incredible commitment and some brilliant attacking play earned our girls a well-deserved place in the final. 👏

Our Team Manager, Sylvie Albertoni, who has been supporting this group of young players for many years, shared her pride:

“I’m so proud of the girls. Their team spirit and connection are simply incredible. A huge thank you as well to the staff for all the preparation and support that allows them to play with confidence and peace of mind.”

This victory is the reward for years of hard work from the players, the staff and everyone who has helped this team grow.

🏉🇨🇭🏃🏻‍♀️‍➡️Switzerland starts strong: 24–17 win over Sweden!

This morning, our U18 Girls arrived with a powerful mindset: focused, united, and fully ready for a historic day for Swiss rugby. From the very first moments, you could feel an energised team, connected and determined to perform.

Sweden won the toss and immediately took a strong attacking initiative, setting the pace early in the match. But our Red Girls — wearing black today! — refused to be shaken.

They fought for every ball, showed courage, pride, and an unwavering collective spirit.
They contested, tackled, worked together… and stayed true to their identity.

👉 Final score: Switzerland 24 – Sweden 17
A well‑earned victory built on character, solidarity, and smart team play.

Once again, their mindset made the difference.

The Swiss girls open their tournament in the best possible way, showing maturity, resilience, and the ability to rise even when the opponent starts strong.

Still among Europe’s best. 🇨🇭🔥

Our Switzerland U18 Men’s Sevens team has once again secured its place in the Rugby Europe U18 Sevens Championship!

For the fourth consecutive year, our U18s will compete at the highest level of European rugby after finishing 8th in Prague.

Their place in the Championship was already secured by the end of the first day of an incredibly demanding tournament.

The standard of competition continues to rise every year, making this achievement even more meaningful. Throughout the weekend, our players showed courage, commitment and determination, never backing down against some of Europe’s strongest rugby nations.

A huge congratulations to the entire squad and staff for proudly representing Switzerland and for the hard work that made this result possible.

Thank you to Rugby Europe and the Czech organisers for hosting another outstanding event in a fantastic spirit of rugby.

The journey continues. We will keep investing in our young players, developing the next generation and building the future of Swiss Rugby.

After an unforgettable weekend for Swiss Rugby, crowned by our Men’s National Sevens Team winning the Rugby Europe Trophy and becoming 2026 European Champions, the celebration continues!

This Saturday, in partnership with RC Yverdon, we are proud to host the Swiss Super Sevens Finals for both Men and Women.
