Hi all,
Just a little word from team Belgium.
Of course this wasn’t the result we worked for. We knew we were sailing against very good sailors, but still we thought a qualification was possible. Still, in some ways, this was a victory for us.
First of all, we got the chance to sail in great boats, with our nice team, top coaches and all this in a lovely environment which SSL is. It was a fantastic opportunity, and we’re lovin’it!
Second, we learned an awful lot. And this is exactly what we were hoping for! It’s a step up to big boat sailing for a lot of us and on top of that we got in contact with a great bunch of people, who have the same dreams as us.
And okay, unfortunately, we are going to miss the in Bahrain.
And yes, that hurts. But we’ll be back! Michel and his SSL-team already have more plans for the future, and if we can, we’ll definitely be part of it.
I am sure we got the interest of the Belgian sailing world. With more sailors, better preparation and a never ending will do it better next time!
