I recently had the pleasure of joining my friends and podcast co-hosts Anisa Zafar and Pragati Siddhanti as one of the panelists at their in-person career networking event for professional women — held in the beautiful Orangerie Basel.

The room was full of ambitious, curious women discussing what leadership and career growth mean today.

We talked about:
🔹How leadership is shifting from authoritative approaches ( bossing around!) to empathetic approaches

🔹Why being authentic at work is not a weakness but a strength

🔹The power of building a support system that activates and sustains your growth

🔹And why a career break should never define your trajectory

I shared my own story of many times career reinventions: moving from corporate supply chain management to fashion entrepreneurship to my work today as a business and leadership coach.

Events like these remind me how important community is.
I love the flexibility of my online work which fits perfectly with my “always on the go” lifestyle.
But now I am truly inspired to do more in-person events in future

Career transitions are not easy: We don’t talk enough about the rejections, disappointments and confusions most people put up with to survive this journey.
This journey takes courage, vulnerability and resilience.

Spaces like this make the journey lighter and more possible.

NAROSIB was born out of a practical need, a genuine curiosity to know the world and a deep yearning for peace within and between cultures.

The founder Sara used to work for many years in the corporate world. She always wanted something elegant and subtle to wear at work without looking too eccentric or bohemian, something that brings a little soul and life into her plain business look.

As a child Sara, who grew up in Iran, was fascinated by the history of silk and how it used to bring the merchants of different countries closer to each other.
