Big congrats to Eddie on getting his level five wing chun student grade from Master Andrew Cameron at Wing Chun Northampton last weekend.

One of the important things for us is that we are part of Wing Chun International, so students in our Geneva classes have the opportunity to visit the UK and Germany for courses with Master Cameron and upgrade their martial arts knowledge.

We'll take the opportunity to wish Eddie all the best on his martial arts journey when he heads back home to Australia next month!

New self-defence course in English for women in Geneva.

As part of a series across the year, this semester we'll be focused on protecting yourself from mugging.

You'll learn:

• What to watch out for: How muggers plan and set up their attacks

• How to avoid being singled out as a target

• Fighting back: Simple techniques that can keep you safe

• Fighting back vs handing over – a discussion.

The instructor, Fergus Dullaghan, is a former international-level judo player, holds black belts in three martial arts and has 40 years of martial arts experience.

It’s not easy to take up a new activity when you are a parent and working professional, but these two have been training hard at the SWIFT Academy for over a year - proving it can be done

As we prepare to launch new classesfor children aged 8+ in September, we've revisited the idea

Judo offers kids confidence, discipline, fitness & friendship.
It teaches them to fall safely (and can literally save their lives)
It teaches them to defend themselves as they get older
In SWIFT, we offer kids an out-of-school activity in English

Mostly, (and frankly most importantly) it is fun!
