We welcome you to the Swiss Alps 100 trail race, where you will experience some of the finest trails and views of the famous Swiss Alps mountains. Our courses, which are part run on the UNESCO World Heritage, are incredibly scenic, yet strenuous and challenging. Some parts of the course, like the Aletsch glacier, the 3 suspension bridges, or the alpine dam, are truly magnificent and a feast for your eyes.

Race Director approved.

Finn Schaller, who lives in the Netherlands with his Dutch mother and has Swiss roots through his father, called his journey “Returning Home.”

He set himself a challenge: to complete the Swiss Alps 100 100K.

But his journey to the finish line became about so much more than running 50 kilometers through the Swiss Alps. It’s a story of determination, willpower, struggle, and refusing to give up — while reconnecting with a country that is part of who he is.

I’ve seen a lot of people cross our finish line over the years, but watching Finn’s story genuinely moved me.

What a difference a decade makes.

In 2017, it took us an entire year to reach 50 registrations for the inaugural Swiss Alps 100.

Today, we reached 50 registrations in just 44 minutes.

Same mountains.
Same dream.
A much bigger family.

To everyone who has run with us, volunteered, supported us, told a friend about us, or keeps coming back year after year — THANK YOU.

This is how far we’ve come together.

And 2027 is only getting started.

The finish line has finally been crossed.

The finisher medal hanging around your neck.

The relentless struggle to move forward has come to an end.

The desire to stop and sit down has been realised.

This moment is the culmination of many hours of perseverance and pain management.

Now, it's time to sit down, take in what just happened and be humbled by the incredible achievement.

As they say, 'Running a marathon clears your mind — running an ultra marathon clears your soul'.

There are moments as a race director when you look around and realize that an idea has become something much bigger than you ever imagined.

Seeing all of you gathered at the start of the Swiss Alps 100 was one of those moments.

To every single person who traveled from near and far, stood on that starting line, and took on these mountains: thank you.

Thank you for trusting us with your adventure. Thank you for bringing your energy, determination, smiles, exhaustion, tears, and unforgettable stories to the Swiss Alps 100.

Whether you finished first, finished last, or your day ended earlier than you had hoped—you were part of it. You made this race what it is.

As Race Director, I couldn’t be more grateful to have shared these mountains with all of you.
