For skilled skiers seeking alpine challenges, our Big-Mountain Camp offers on-mountain coaching through exciting alpine tours.
Camp Objectives:
🏔 Direct coaching from mountain guides
🎿 Planning and executing alpine tours
🌐 Independent decision-making in vast terrains
Specifically:
✅ Independent tour planning
✅ Handling ropes and equipment for couloirs, glaciers, etc.
✅ Ski mountaineering with climbing, ridges, etc.
✅ Advanced skiing skills in alpine terrain
Our guides serve as coaches, assisting in decision-making and ex*****on of plans. It's a collaborative adventure where you take the lead!
🎿 **Program Highlights** 🏔
**Day 1 'Magic Arolla' & 'Cozy Titlis'**
Workshops to prepare you for high-altitude challenges, focusing on coaching and bridging gaps for major alpine tours.
Workshops include:
- Glacier navigation
- Crevasse rescue
- Big-Mountain tour education
- Rope and equipment handling
- Gear, knots, abseiling, and more
Overnight stay in the village, with lift assistance to easily access the mountains.
**Days 2 & 3**
Now it's time to put your skills to the test! We apply what you've learned, with ongoing coaching and on-site workshops.
Coaching focus:
- Rope handling
- Track setting for ascent
- Descent techniques
- Route finding
- Tour planning
Overnight stay in a hut with snow melting and self-cooking. Guides organize the food, but everyone participates in the cooking.
**Last Day**
Application tours from the hut, adjusted based on conditions and skill level. Return to the village around 4 PM, depending on circumstances.

Highlights:
- Snow reliability until spring due to high altitude
- Skitouring paradise and a stop on the famous 'Haute Route' from Zermatt to Chamonix
Skitouring in Arolla:
- Breathtaking mountain scenery with glaciers and sharp rock needles
- Ample snow coverage early in winter
- Diverse options for skitouring and powder descents
Spectacular descent:
- Highlights include Pointe du Tsaté (3077 m) and Pigne d’Arolla (3787 m) with breathtaking views
