👩‍🏫 Today is the last day of IPDET On-Site 2024! Workshop Session II is still going strong! Thanks to our esteemed expert instructors, we continued to dive deeper into various topics.

🌍Yesterday, participants had a little tour around the world!

During the , we explored nations' experiences in institutionalizing evaluation across continents. Moderated by Prof. Dr. Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Meyer, with input from Prof. Dr. Reinhard Stockmann, comments from Dr. Asela Kalugampitiya and Prof. Dr. Claudia Maldonado, and sharing from participants, we delved into the driving and hindering forces behind this process, and gain a deeper understanding of the global evaluation landscape.

Our world exhibition further showcased our vibrant diversity. Participants passionately shared their snacks, drinks, art pieces, musical instruments, games, and more with each other! We celebrate our cultural heritage while forging new friendships. This event beautifully highlighted the unique togetherness of IPDET!

🌟 IPDET Goes Beyond the Classroom! 🌟
again goes beyond the classroom to offer spaces that facilitate participants meeting, connecting, and exchanging ideas with each other!
This week, participants enjoyed two city tours, marveling at the history and beauty of the UNESCO World Heritage old city of Bern; the IMPACT Happy Hour, hosted by Coopération Globale sparked lively conversations and valuable connections; another highlight of the week was the most international football game in town yesterday, filled with laughter and great teamwork, fostering camaraderie and lasting friendships!

After three days of intensive lectures and group work, participants have nearly reached the mountain top of evaluation! 🏔

Throughout this journey, they have delved into evaluation design, framing, theory of change, evaluation approaches, data collection, and analysis. 🔎

Yesterday in the garden, different working groups proudly presented their ideas to their peers. After just three days of training, our participants have become more rigorous and discerning evaluators. It’s clear that earning a sticker from their peers is no easy feat!🌟

🌟 IPDET On-Site 2024 has officially commenced! 🌟
A big thank you to Professor Adrian Ritz, President of the Continuing Education Commission of the University of Bern Weiterbildung Universität Bern, for officially welcoming our participants! Participants actively interacted with our Head of Program, Dr. Stefanie Krapp, who introduced the program, and echoed the inspiring words from Prof. Reinhard Stockmann on the contribution of evaluation to a better world.

We express our heartfelt gratitude to Global Evaluation Initiative's funding partners for their generous support and welcome 166 participants from 71 countries for making it this far, with some traveling as far as 16,495 km to join us.

Week One Core Course has begun. All four instructors - Dr. Stefanie Krapp, Prof. Dr. Reinhard Stockmann, Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Meyer, and Dr. Dr Candice Morkel - will guide participants as they climb the mountain of evaluation 🏔 . Let’s start this exciting journey together!
