Some background information for all our international friends, who might not know EDGF and its events.

The European Disc Golf Federation “EDGF” is the international sports federation responsible for the European governance of the sport Disc Golf.

The federation has 34 members (NDGGB) and holds contacts to all European countries. EDGF is recognized by the European Flying Disc Federation “EFDF”, the Word Flying Disc Federation “WFDF”, and PDGA Europe, and upholds the “Rules of Play” as well as the competition standards from the Professional Disc Golf Association “PDGA”.

As the European governing body for the sport of Disc Golf, EDGF has the responsibility for sanctioning the bi-annual European Championships “EDGC”, the European Junior Championships “EJDGC” and the European Masters Championships “EMDGC”, as well as other forms of continental championships. For all our events we have developed specific Event Format & Standards, approved by the EDGF members. EDGC/EJDGC and EMDGC are sanctioned as PDGA XA-Tier events. The events are open exclusively for European players. Registration by the NDGGBs only. Participants attend as part of their national team.

As from the 2027 events, a new unique event logo will be used (event symbol) where additional information (event name, year, etc.) will be added (full event logo). Using individual colour combinations, the logo receives the local touch. The usage of the logo is part of the EDGF Event Visualization Guidelines.
