Srinagar, Dec 23: At just 17, Minha Ayaz from Khanyar, Srinagar, has achieved what many can only dream of. A 12th-grade student, Minha has been passionately playing chess since she was five. Her journey, however, began in earnest around four to five years ago, and since then, there has been no looking back.
Minha is an all-time gold medalist in chess, having won three state gold medals and six inter-district gold medals. She has also represented Kashmir twice at the national level, making history as the only player selected from the region.
Most recently, she showcased her brilliance at the National Chess Championship in Kolkata, winning several matches and bringing pride to her home state.
“I’ve always loved chess and have been a gold medalist throughout my career. Representing Kashmir at the national level is a matter of immense pride for me,” Minha shared.
