Firstly, What a show!
Well done to everyone, you all pulled it off on the night and made us super proud! We hope you all enjoyed yourselves and that your families and friends loved watching too.
We hope you also enjoyed this evening as an opportunity to be together as a school and celebrate the recent successes of all our students.
We will be counting costumes back in tonight and anyone who hasn’t returned the item or returns them damaged will be issued with an invoice as per the contract you signed before the show.
Secondly, this evening is not only a celebration but also a chance to share some sad news with you and bring our journey as Energize dance company to a close. The main body of teachers recently met and decided that our hearts are no longer in it and that it is time for us all to move on and focus on other challenges in our lives. This was not an easy decision for us to make, as most of you know I have been dancing since the age of 5 and teaching since 11. This said I think my love of dance has dwindled and I would be doing you all a disservice to continue with this venture.
As you know, we have also noticed a shift in our students’ attitudes to dance lessons recently too and feel that our pupils will benefit from a fresh outlook on their dance journeys. This will hopefully provide them with time to reflect on whether they attend because they love dance or whether it is for social opportunities. If students with to continue with their dance journeys, we can recommend local dance schools where they will continue to strive.
So it is with great sadness that Energize Dance Company will be shut as from today 20/02/2024. I would like to finish by thanking you all for putting your trust in myself and the Energize Dance Company team and we thank you all for your support.
All the teachers at Energize Dance Company are very sorry and wish you all the best in the future, if you would like support or advice as to which school might best suit you, please speak to us or feel free to contact us at a later date.
Any questions or queries, please do ask. Best of luck for the future.
Kind regards
Bonnie
