Official Audience Between the President of the African Dodgeball Confederation and the Liberia Dodgeball Federation

As part of her mandate to promote cooperation and advance the development of dodgeball across the African continent, the President of the African Dodgeball Confederation (ADC), Mrs. Marie Josiane Yao, granted an official audience to a delegation from the Liberia Dodgeball Federation, led by its Secretary General, Mr. Amos Togbor, during his working visit to the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire.

The meeting took place in a spirit of fraternity, dialogue, and cooperation, reflecting the shared commitment of both institutions to strengthen the ties between their respective federations and to promote sports governance founded on solidarity, excellence, and strategic partnership.

Discussions focused primarily on the strategic issues surrounding the participation of the Republic of Liberia in the upcoming 2026 World Dodgeball Championship, scheduled to take place in Bangkok, Thailand, in December 2026. Both parties also exchanged views on institutional capacity building, the technical development of the sport, and enhanced cooperation among African national federations in line with the vision of the African Dodgeball Confederation.

On this occasion, Mr. Amos Togbor, Secretary General of the Liberia Dodgeball Federation, expressed, on behalf of his federation, his profound appreciation and highest regard for Mrs. Marie Josiane Yao. He presented a symbolic gift to the President as a sign of unity.

He commended her visionary leadership, unwavering commitment to the development of dodgeball throughout Africa, and the significant reforms she has initiated to strengthen cooperation among national federations while promoting sports diplomacy as a catalyst for African integration.

The two leaders welcomed the excellent relations between the Ivory Coast Dodgeball Federation and the Liberia Dodgeball Federation, reaffirming their mutual commitment to further deepen their collaboration through development programmes, technical exchanges, capacity-building initiatives, and joint projects aimed at empowering African youth through sport.

The audience also opened promising prospects for a future official mission by the President of the African Dodgeball Confederation to Liberia, where she is expected to participate in institutional, technical, and diplomatic activities designed to further consolidate cooperation between the two nations.

As a token of friendship and mutual esteem, Mr. Amos Togbor presented a symbolic gift to the President. This thoughtful gesture, received with great appreciation, reflects the strong bonds of trust, respect, and friendship that continue to strengthen the partnership between the Ivory Coast and Liberia Dodgeball Federations.

Through this official audience, the African Dodgeball Confederation reaffirms its unwavering commitment to fostering stronger continental cooperation based on dialogue, solidarity, and a shared vision of developing dodgeball as a powerful instrument for African integration, peace, and friendship among nations.

🇧🇫BURKINA FASO | First National Dodgeball Championship: A Historic Milestone for the Development of the Sport

The African Dodgeball Confederation (ADC) extends its heartfelt congratulations and appreciation to all the authorities, partners, and stakeholders who contributed to the outstanding success of the first-ever National Dodgeball Championship of Burkina Faso.

The Confederation expresses its deepest gratitude to Hon. Annick PIKBOUGOUM/Zingué Ouattara, Minister of Sports, Youth and Employment of Burkina Faso Ministère des Sports, de la Jeunesse et de l'Emploi, for her commitment, her presence at the final, and for officially launching this historic competition. Our sincere thanks also go to the Ministry of Basic Education, Literacy and the Promotion of National Languages, as well as to Mr. Abdoulaye Ouattara, Chief of Staff to the Minister of Sports , for their invaluable support.

The African Dodgeball Confederation pays special tribute to the exceptional work of Ms. Aminata Paré , President of the Provisional National Dodgeball Committee of Burkina Faso, Technical Director for Dodgeball Development in Africa, and West Africa Representative within the African Dodgeball Confederation. Through her outstanding leadership, dedication, and vision, Dodgeball in Burkina Faso has reached a historic milestone. In just two years, the country has successfully established a national structure, earned the title of African Vice-Champion, and organized its first National Championship, paving the way for the creation of a fully recognized National Federation.

The Confederation also congratulates SYA Olympic Club of Bobo-Dioulasso for becoming the first National Dodgeball Champion of Burkina Faso, a historic achievement that will forever be remembered in the country's sporting history.

Together, let us continue building a stronger, united, and more ambitious African Dodgeball movement.
