I met your father when I was 14 years old and he came to visit at home in Kinshasa to speak with my father… I met you when I was 16 at your sisters’ home for the first time and immediately loved your being as I was so impressed with your kindness and humility…

Many years later I was blessed with the opportunity to work with Basketball Without Borders and witnessed first hand the impact of your spirit, energy and love.

I clearly remember our conversations and the time you shared with me that you promised Nelson Mandela that you’d bring the NBA to Africa and that you did!!! THANK YOU 🤍
