with 3rd Place at the 2024 ADCC West Coast Trials (North American Trials) 🥉
(the Biggest ADCC trials ever)
……………………………
The 2024 ADCC West Coast Trials comes to an end. I Finished with a Bronze Medal (3rd place)🥉out of 70 guys.
I went 5-1 beating some great guard players and a big name or two.
My biggest win came over a Black Belt who won pans at Adult Brown Belt under Keenan Cornelius and legion. He was an amazing competitor.
Besides that I have no idea who my first opponent was, had another purple belt in match 2, and a really tough brown belt in match 3 (both who I beat by points 5-0 & 3-0 respectively).
My loss came to 3x ADCC vet who bumped up only weighing 175 - Mike Perez Black Belt out of Atos.
Tough loss, but don’t let Mikes weight fool you. He’s not only a ADCC vet multiple times, but also an absolute dog in all aspects of BJJ. Glad to have faced him. Will make adjustments.
Anyways, I Lost in the semi final via Aoki Lock from Butterfly Ashi (just learned what this was haha).
Year 3 of BJJ just wrapped up.
It was awesome to show a lot of my bjj. I never even had a chance to really wrestle in any of these matches, winning all by back take, passes, or subs.
It’s also blatantly obvious that there are levels to the leg lock game and I have to inch my way up the latter with those. Noted. GOOD.
I went from 1-1 in my first trials, 3-1 in my next, and 5-1 this year finishing on the podium finally.
Slowly climbing. Not where I want to be, but grateful to finally see some big time results.
Also congrats to my boy for winning trials. He’s an amazing guy and an amazing grappler. The world is not ready for him!
Shout out to my homie and a true friend for having an amazing run to the finals too. He’s such a kind soul and it’s awesome to see his success.
a big thanks to my sponser and my coach for all the support.
Also, a huge shoutout to for helping me get ready in the final weeks of my camp. I’m so gr
