The Day I Moved My Towel Changed Everything ✨🌊

If I hadn’t listened to that tiny nudge inside me… if I hadn’t chosen to sit just a little further down the beach that day… I wouldn’t be here telling you this story.

It was July. My after-work ritual was simple: grab my bag, walk to the lake, and head straight to my usual spot on the sand. Safe. Familiar. Predictable.

But this one day, my gut whispered: “Go over there.”
I almost ignored it.
Instead, I listened.

And that one choice… changed my entire summer.

I laid down my towel, cracked open a beer — and noticed a woman sitting just a few feet away. She also had a beer in hand. Normally, I would have stayed in my bubble. But something in me nudged again: say hello.

So I did.

She was visiting from Paris. We exchanged numbers. We met up again. And again. By the end of the summer, we weren’t strangers anymore — we became friends. The kind who just click.

She expanded me.
She introduced me to new cultures and experiences.
She showed me what it looks like to live wide open — to travel, to explore, to say YES.

Because of her, I said yes to something I never would have before: a spontaneous trip to Mexico.

In just a few weeks, I’ll be stepping off a plane into Mexico for the very first time. And not only that — I’ll be traveling internationally solo for the first time ever. Two whole days, just me and a new country, before she flies in to meet me.

All of this — the friendship, the memories, the confidence, the expansion — came from one moment. One whisper. One decision to listen.

✨ That’s the power of intuition.
✨ That’s the magic waiting when we choose differently.
✨ That’s the reminder that the universe is always guiding us toward the people and experiences meant to unlock new pieces of us.

✨ Full Circle Moment ✨

What happens when you leave everything familiar behind and have to rebuild from scratch?

For almost four years back in New Brunswick, I hosted in-person events with my female entrepreneur network. Those circles were alive with connection, collaboration, and women lifting each other higher.

When I moved to Toronto in 2020, it felt like starting from scratch. I had to rebuild everything — friendships, family, community, career. At times, it felt impossible. But brick by brick, I’ve been creating a foundation here that feels strong, aligned, and true to me.

Now, for the first time since moving, I feel ready to build and create again..this time in Toronto. ✨

This October, I’ll be hosting my first event here. It’s only the beginning of what’s to come, and I can’t wait to share more soon.

✨ Flow Story ✨

This morning was such a reminder of what happens when I let life flow instead of trying to control it.

Carson forgot his hat today — which never happens. He wears it every day because of his new haircut and feeling a little insecure, so he asked me to drop it off later. Normally, I would’ve gone straight to work at my laptop, but today I decided to go for a walk and bring him his hat.

On the way, I picked him up some Doritos, and when I got to the school, I noticed a flyer outside the office about international language classes. One of them? Spanish. 🌎✨ Exactly the language we’ve been wanting to learn to prepare for our Sunshine Home.

But it didn’t stop there. As I was waiting at the office for them to track him down, the school announcements came on. And what do I hear? Football tryouts are happening tomorrow. The exact thing I had been meaning to call the school about, but hadn’t gotten around to yet.

And then later, a friend told me she could connect me with someone who teaches Spanish online.

Like, how perfect is that? One little moment of presence — Carson forgetting his hat — unfolded into everything we needed today: Spanish opportunities, clarity on football, and alignment with our bigger vision.

It was such a reminder that when I stop forcing and just let life flow through me, life brings me everything I need. 🌿✨

I used to believe that if I just worked harder, pushed more, did more—then the life I craved would finally arrive.
But the more I chased, the further away it felt.

It wasn’t until I stopped—until I allowed myself to pause—that everything started to shift.

✨ Rest isn’t laziness.
✨ Slowness isn’t failure.
✨ Flow isn’t passive.

It’s a reclamation of everything we were taught to ignore.
It’s nervous system safety.
It’s presence with my children.
It’s my clearest ideas coming through in the stillness.
It’s the success I was searching for… but softer.

We’ve been conditioned to earn our rest.
But what if rest is what actually earns us our most aligned life?

I’m living proof that rest is not the reward.
It’s the portal.
And I’m never going back.

I’m learning that while we can choose our friends, there will inevitably be times when we find ourselves in circles that challenge us. In those moments, the real work is learning to anchor into our own inner peace. That peace comes not from seeking approval, but from staying true to ourselves—by expressing our perspectives, even when they differ. Not to be liked or accepted, but simply to honor our truth. Often, it’s that very truth we shy away from. But when we allow ourselves to face it and sit with it, we begin to experience a profound sense of freedom. And from that place, those once-draining situations lose their power over us—they become easier to navigate, and we no longer feel the need to avoid them.

Here’s the thing...

✅ You know what you want to do

✅ You know who you desire to serve.

✅ You also know you’re here to do AMAZING EFFING THINGS in lifetime!

I know you’ve been on this journey for some time now and sometimes it feels like the people around you are questioning what the hell you’re actually doing with your life.

😫 It’s soooo frustrating because they just don’t get it!

You’ve tried many things and some of it just hasn’t worked out. 🤦🏽‍♀️

Not only are you having to deal with your family and friends criticism and doubt but you’ve gotta deal with your own inner critic... 😣

Look boo, I get it. Like, I really friggin get it.

It’s all part of the process of showing up and doing this work.

But it’s also a choice to listen to the opinions of others.

You get to choose who:

➡️ take advice from
➡️ share your goals & dreams with.

Just remember, YOU are the most important person when it comes to your own dream.
