As parents we can make the biggest difference in our kids' lives.

It is what we model through our daily routines that can encourage our kids to model our behavior.

“I want to show my daughter that staying active is one of the best ways to stay healthy.”

Deirdre knows how important it is for herself to make fitness a priority and she wants to encourage her daughter to do the same.

What is the secret to seeing success in your wellness journey?

Consistency.

It is showing up each day and putting in the work.

It was showing up consistently in both her workouts and in her nutrition that allowed Cheryl to really see the progress she was looking for.

“Consistency gets you where you want to be! Set goals for yourself!”

These might not be the shiny actions you are looking for, but they are what will help you move the needle forward.

It can be so challenging knowing what workout program to follow. Will it get me results? Will it keep me excited?

Here at CrossFit Function we meet each member at the fitness level they are at. This is to help build their confidence and get them excited about seeing their progress continue.

Have you ever had an injury play a part on your confidence?

When Deirdre started working with one of our Personal Trainers one of her main concerns was finding the confidence to lift overhead after suffering a shoulder injury.

She understood the technique, but lacked the confidence to lift heavier weights overhead.

Working closely with her coach and working through this fear she was able to build up her confidence as well as understand the technique needed to lift heavier weights overhead.

Building up her confidence helped her trust herself to lift those heavier weights.

It is important to our coaches to work closely with our clients to build up their confidence to trust in their abilities.

Our members mean the world to our coaches! Not too many gyms know their members on a first name basis, who their kids are and what their interests are.

At CrossFit Function we invested in our members and their well being. We want to see them succeed on all levels.

“Aside from lowering my blood pressure medication dosage, my bright spots are simple things like walking straight, box step ups, putting on my shoes without leaning on something.”

It is wins like these that continue to motivate Cheryl to keep showing up for herself.

While there is nothing wrong with aesthetic goals and wanting your clothing to fit better. It is goals like being able to do simple things like tying your shoes or lowering medication dosages that are the biggest wins.

It is being able to show up in your day to day life knowing that you are showing up as the healthiest version of yourself.
