Summer is busy which often leads to this vicious cycle of all or nothing thinking.

You know the one, “If I can’t do it perfectly I might as well not do it at all.” Then September rolls around and yet again you feel like you’re starting all over again.

What if I told you that you don’t have to live this way?

What if I told you there was a more sustainable approach to enjoying the foods you love all while still working towards your goals?

Sometimes the biggest win is just showing up again even after you feel like you have failed!

This rang so true for a client of mine that I met with the other day
She came to me feeling frustrated with herself because she couldn’t stay consistent with staying on track.

She would be consistent for a couple of weeks and then when life got busy and she found herself overwhelmed she would slowly let these goals fall to the wayside.

This left her feeling like she was not only letting herself down, but me as well.
I reminded her that couldn’t be further from the truth. As her coach I am the extra layer of accountability, the one who is going to motivate you and help you create and revise a plan that works for her.

This led me to ask her if this had happened 6 months ago would she be sitting down with me trying to find her momentum again.

Her answer. “ Of course not.”

Her showing up and asking for help is the biggest win of all. We only fail when we give up.

It might not seem like much, but asking for help is half the battle. Being vulnerable with where you are at and what you need in the moment shows growth.

You don’t need to be perfect, because perfection is what leads us to feeling like we are failing when things don’t go according to plan.
