SILVER FOR THE SAINTS.
What. A. PROVINICIALS. Weekend.
We started this morning in the semi-final against Animal Kingdom and came up just short in a hard-fought battle.
👑 Crown to Kim for staying calm under pressure and coming through with the hits when they mattered.
That dropped us into a do-or-die game against Rocks/Obsidian and in true Saints fashion, apparently we like to make things stressful. Another absolute nail-biter between two hungry teams, but the Saints came out with just a little more bite.
Bottom of the 7th. Two outs. Game on the line.
👑 Crown to Bre for WALKING IT OFF and sending us to the final!
That brought us back to Animal Kingdom with one life in hand. We battled, took some hard body hits, found our spots when we could and fought right to the end. Unfortunately, we came up short and finished 2nd at Provincials.
👑 Finals Crown to Heather for showing leadership at the plate, coming through with big hits and making even bigger catches when we needed them most.
Did we want gold? Of course.
But finishing second with the crew we had this weekend is absolutely nothing to be sad about. We battled, laughed, competed and showed up for each otherall weekend long and that’s Saints ball. 💙
A HUGE thank you to Bre, Silvia, Dana and Deanna for jumping in with us this weekend. You fit right in, competed hard and helped make this weekend one to remember.
Provincial Silver for the Saints.
Pretty damn proud of this crew.
Thank you to BA and Jaime Stodgell for another wonderful week. The hours you two and the crew put in are so appreciated
