At first glance, cheerleading, ninja classes and social-emotional learning groups might seem like completely different things.
But child development is happening in all of them.
When a child attempts a new skill, joins a group where they don’t know anyone, manages disappointment, asks for help, encourages a teammate or keeps trying after something feels hard… those are developmental moments.
Sometimes we teach those skills sitting in a circle.
Sometimes we teach them upside down on a mat. 🤸
Sometimes they happen while creating, playing, talking, moving or laughing with a new friend.
That’s the heart behind what we’re building at The Childhood Collective.
