Strength training will help with weight-loss by burning calories and increasing excess post-oxygen consumption. Fit Tip Wednesday. Many don't realize that creatine monohydrate will store excess water in the midsection. For this reason, I have never used it in my 43 years of training. Nor do I recommend it for those seeking the tight waistline. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter how big your arms and legs are. If the midsection is growing, you're going down the wrong path.
