WPW SUP, BUD? was an unforgettable night that changed the landscape of Winnipeg Professional Wrestling forever.
MENTALLO made his WPW return to team with Tyler Colton and defeat Nü Money in the main event to win the WPW Tag Team Championship.
Jody Threat defeated Dani Leo to retain the WPW Women’s Championship. After the match, The Wild Child was confronted by Vanessa Kraven, who defeated Gigi Rey earlier in the night. Are we set for a Kraven/Threat showdown this summer?
Merv turned down an invitation to join The Jacked Jesus Congregation, but after suffering a beating at the hands of Tommy Lee Curtis, he seems to have seen the vision. TLC and Nick Nelson were beating down Sammy Peppers after his match, and instead of running to Sammy’s rescue, Merv laid him out with a super kick and joined TLC and Nick Nelson in the Congregation.
Mid-Life Express and WPW General Manager James Korba were about to beat down the upstart BP Taylor until former WPW Champion James Roth came out to make it a tag match. The recently fired ATM ran in through the crowd to even the numbers and help Roth and BP pick up the win. After the match, the tyrannical WPW GM Korba reinstated ATM and challenged him to a street fight on July 17 at the Blue Note.
‘The Behemoth’ BRAX retained the WPW 92.1 CITI Championship after causing ‘Sweet’ Bobby Schink to pass out in a Full Nelson.
Thank you to everyone who attended SUP, BUD?, the 20th straight WPW sell out.
WPW returns June 12 at the Princess Auto Grand Opening festivities. Details to come!
