Holeshot Racers is an amateur dog sports team that competes in the sport of Flyball. Our current best team time is 14.939 which was ran on July 26, 2015.

💜Devo💜

We lost one of our amazing top team dogs this week!!

Devo was an amazing anchor dog for our team. If we were behind you could always count on this dog to give it all he had to win the race for us!!

We lost him too young from heart disease that was diagnosed at the age of 4! Through the most amazing care of his mama Tanya Welsh he played another 5 years of Flyball and passed in the loving arms of his most loved people!

Here are a few memories shared by his team mates.

He kept all of us on our toes....escape out of the backyard and get rewarded for it with a squeaker. Bit many asses on the flyball lanes. Chased Jace’s pony tails around the island. An amazing asset to our team. Rest In Peace and run free with all those waiting for you over the rainbow bridge - Angela

Devo you were one hell of a flyball dog and teammate, even when you were biting those in front of you in the ass to move out of your way, run free - Monica

I’ll always cherish the time I got to race on the vets team with my wiener dog Cleo and Devo! Devo made Cleo feel like a superstar because she got to race with flyball royalty. Though we all know Devo was rolling his eyes that he was on a team with a dog so slow he still ran like hell!! Devo loved Tanya unconditionally and it was incredible to see their relationship. I will miss our road trips together buddy!!! - Natasha

💜💜Misty💜💜

Where do you even start with this dog!!

When Misty’s health starting declining we all thought her time wouldn’t be long but she surprised us all with how long this dog fought to stay on Earth. She wouldn’t let her failing organs stop her fierce love for life!!! She played until the end.

I only had a short experience knowing Misty but I loved sharing the lanes with her wild spirit. She would run like hell down to the box and take her sweet ass time coming home then go all Tasmanian Devil at the start line. Once she passed the start line she would run at a diagonal away from the lanes!! There is no way you could miss watching this dog run.

When I got to see how Misty was at home I was like is this even the same dog! She was such a great family dog at home and played well with everyone especially puppies.

Misty was Tanya Welsh’s first Flyball dog and without her I might not have met one of my dearest friends!!

We lost her in April and still doesn’t feel real!!!

If wheelz was human everyone would have wanted to be her best friend! She wouldn’t gossip, tell secrets, or ever betray a true friendship.
She would always support you, have your back and be the most loyal friend you ever had.
She would go above and beyond for you and always be by your side no matter what.
Always see the good in people and never judge.
In the end she couldn’t eat and breathing was laboured but would never stop being a true friend by making me and herself happy... chasing balls and playing together as true friends do!!
She would say stay strong for each other and remember who I was not what is now!!
They say nothing or no one is flawless or perfect, but wheelz was!!!!
RIP my perfection!!!

Holeshot Racers says goodbye to a great Flyball dog Chester.

Here are some words from his owner Vinny.

I couldn’t of asked for a better dog Even in his last day he brought me joy. l am so glad Ange and Susan did that litter. He was a good flyball Who tried hard for me I don’t think there was a dog he didn’t like he was always happy. He made me happy I miss you Chester.

Our team is hosting a Rally fun match tomorrow Friday Nov 3rd from 6-9 pm at High Flyers on Bradford.

Kat Dueck will be judging the matches from Novice to Excellent.

Entries are $7 each. Or $5 for 4 or more entries!

We will be also hosting a warm dinner of Chili and Soup!!

We are heartbroken to announce the sudden passing of Trice aka Trice-Meister.

Trice was just 5 days short of her 14th birthday. From the moment she was born we knew that Trice and her siblings would be special, how could they not be with Flex and Streak as their parents. It was impossible not to fall in love with her friendly and sweet personality...AND THOSE SPOTS!!!!! She could be sneaky too, trying to help herself to the food when you were busy letting the other dogs out. Trice was a driven and solid dog on our top team for countless tournaments. She loved swimming and playing fetch. All of her puppies were unique, just like their mom.

Trice will be greatly missed by Angela, Jace and Holeshot Racers.

Run free and fast sweet Trice! ❤❤❤

Jamn

It was very sad putting you to rest today Jamn, but I know how much you were hurting as you stopped eating, and it was frustrating as your mind was still so good, but your body was shutting down on you. It was a hard to let you go but you will not hurt anymore.

I have so many memories that I will cherish our time together forever. You were a great Flyball dog, you loved to play agility, Frisbee and ball. I nicknamed you Hammerhead as you were always into something you shouldn't be.

You will always be in my heart and thoughts forever. We pray that you are at peace now.
