Canadian Fans of the Kerala Blasters Welcome to the Canadian page for fans of the Kerala Blasters, an Indian pro football team based in Ko Kerala Blasters FC were established on 27 May 2014.

Welcome of the Canadian FaceBook page for fans of the Kerala Blasters Football Club. The Blasters are an Indian professional football team based in Kochi, Kerala that competes in the Indian Super League (ISL). There are plenty of reasons to cheer for the Blasters. Here are two:

1. The Blasters play great football and almost won the championship in the league's inaugural 2014 season (they lost 1-0 to Kolkata in the final).

2. Kerala has a long history of being the most progressive state in India with the lowest child mortality rates and the highest literacy rates. Indeed, the literacy rate for women is one of the highest in all of Asia. For more on Kerala, visit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kerala

There was a 3rd fine reason last year. Iain Hume, a Canadian footballer, played for them and was the league's MVP. While he signed this year (2015) with Kolkata, we are not fickle fans. Hume is Back! Great News for the Canadian Fans of the Kerala Blasters!

Canadians fell in love with the Blasters during the 2014 season when our Iain Hume helped lead the team to the Indian Super League finals.

But then Hume left and the team has struggled ever since. And while we kept our loyalty to the Blasters (they do represent God's own country), we too have struggled to keep up our enthusiasm.

But all that has changed! Iain's back and the prospects for the 2017 season are looking up once again.

How sweet is that? The great Canadian will once again be gracing the field in Kochi and helping to bring the team back to championship form.

Go Iain! Go Blasters!

Gotta figure out how we can get to one of this year's home games.
