What a week in Sagkeeng! ❤️

That’s a wrap on Phase 2 of the 2026 Manitoba Indigenous Summer Games, and we couldn’t be more grateful for everyone who helped make the week what it was.

A huge congratulations to Sagkeeng First Nation on an incredible week of competition, community, and connection. It was so great to see athletes from across the region come together, compete, cheer each other on, and have some fun along the way.

To all of our athletes, coaches, managers, volunteers, officials, families, sponsors, and supporters: thank you for showing up and putting so much into these Games. These events simply wouldn’t happen without all of the people behind the scenes and on the sidelines making it all come together.

And to Sagkeeng, thank you for welcoming everyone and being such a great host. We hope everyone heads home with some great memories from the week! ❤️

🏅 Phase 1 of the 2026 Manitoba Indigenous Summer Games is officially complete!

A heartfelt congratulations and thank you to Norway House Cree Nation and the NHCN Parks & Recreation Division for hosting a successful Phase 1. Your warmth, hospitality, and dedication brought together athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, families, and community members for an unforgettable celebration of sport, culture, and community.

To every athlete who competed: congratulations! Your hard work, determination, and sportsmanship made this event one to remember. We are proud of each and every one of you and can't wait to see what comes next.

Thank you to everyone who helped make Phase 1 possible. Your commitment and passion continue to strengthen Indigenous sport across Manitoba.

This is just the beginning. We look forward to seeing everyone again as we continue the road to Phase 2 of the 2026 Manitoba Indigenous Summer Games in Sagkeeng First Nation in August!

This course is required for all MISG coaches. If you haven’t completed it yet, join us at the Kinosao Sipi Multiplex on July 8 (tomorrow) at 8:00am to complete your ACM training.
