That’s a wrap! 🥳

There’s only few photos from our windup, but that’s because we were too busy enjoying each other’s company. 🤗

A huge thank you to Christina for opening up her home and hosting such a wonderful JTI windup potluck. From guessing the ‘not so secret ingredient’ to cooling off in the pool and showing off our sweet St. Malo superhero towel capes, it was the perfect way to celebrate an incredible season together.

To everyone who chose Just Tri It as part of your triathlon journey, thank you for being part of our community. You are what makes it so special. It has been such a privilege to watch your confidence grow, friendships form, and triathletes emerge. Can’t wait to cheer you on as you tackle your next races!

And remember, this isn’t goodbye. You’re now part of the Matriarchy Triathlon Club family, and we’d love to keep training, racing, and celebrating alongside you. The finish line of JTI is just the beginning!

There’s something so special about race day. The nerves, the excitement, the cheering, and the celebration of crossing that finish line. 🙌

A huge thank you to our incredible JTI coaches who helped get this team to the start line feeling prepared, supported, and ready. Your encouragement, time, and heart made all the difference. 💜

And thank you to Prairie Performance Triathlon for putting on such a fantastic triathlon, and to all the volunteers who gave their time and energy to make race day possible.

We did it!!! 💜

Our JTI team crossed the finish line at the St. Malo Triathlon today, and we couldn’t be prouder.

For many, this was their very first triathlon starting with the Tri-a-Tri distance. Now it’s offish, we’re triathletes! How cool is that?! 🙌

Tired legs, shiny medals, memories made and a whole lot to be proud of 👏 Huge congratulations to this amazing team 🥳 what an accomplishment!

Final JTI run in the books! A little rain rolled in and our crew still ran because we’re definitely not made of sugar… still sweet though! 🥰 It was the perfect little reminder that race day doesn’t always come with perfect weather, and we’re ready for whatever Saturday brings.

One last open water swim before our crew takes on race day at St. Malo 🙌

Last night many of our athletes completed the 300m they’ll need for the Tri-a-Tri, while practicing buoy turns and transitioning out of the water.

So much progress has made been over the past few months! From those first swims to now, this crew gained so much confidence and skill 💜 Race day is almost here, and we’re ready!

Big thanks to Clarice, Co-Race Director for the St. Malo Triathlon, for giving us the inside scoop on what to expect on race day! From logistics to nerves, it was such a helpful reminder that this is a celebration of all our hard work and that we’re more ready than we think.

We also tackled our final intensity increase together! One more week of prep, and then it’s go time! So proud of this crew and how far everyone has come! 🏃‍♀️

One of the sweetest parts of triathlon is the friendships we form along the way. 💜

These two met through the program and spent the ride side by side, chatting their way through the kilometres. While we’re here to train, we’re also building a pretty incredible community.

Tuesday’s workout was a 40-minute bike ride followed by a 10-minute run brick session, complete with plenty of high fives to finish. ✋

Because sometimes the best part of training isn’t the workout, it’s the people you get to share it with.

Our first open water swim! 🏊‍♀️

The water was cold and the lake was shallow but that’s all part of the adventure! Tonight we practiced sighting, beach starts and exits, got a feel for swimming in the lake, and learned what open water swimming is all about.

Way to go, JTI crew!
