Lightning Fencing Club

Lightning Fencing Club Lightning Fencing Club was founded in 1993 and is the largest fencing club in Manitoba. Lighting is built on a concept of community and team work.

We are the only club to instruct in all 3 disciplines (epee, saber and foil) at all ages.

🤺 WE’RE BACK! 🤺

The offseason is over, and we’re officially back and ready for another epic year of fencing!

We also somehow managed to survive club inventory along the way.

With our return this season we also have some exciting news… We were named MFA Club of the Year!! That’s not all though, it gets better… Lucas Hamlin, our Head Sabre Coach, was also named MFA Coach of the Year! Congrats Lucas!

Now that everything is ready to go, it’s time to get back on the piste. Fall classes start September 10!

⚡ What a night at Lightning Fencing Club! 🤺

More than 40 people of all ages joined us at our Fall Open House this past week to pick up a sword, step onto the piste, and try fencing for themselves!

From first-time fencers to future competitors, it was amazing to see so many kids, teens, and adults discovering just how fun (and fast!) fencing can be. ⚔️

A huge thank you to everyone who came out, gave fencing a try, and helped make the evening such a success — and to our LFC coaches and volunteers who made it all possible! 💛

Missed the Open House but still want to fence? Our fall classes start September 10! We offer programs for kids, teens, and adults, with equipment included.
