Our Top Five Hikes - Spring Edition
We've finished up 2026 training camp.
The goal is to always keep the wheels moving. Trail runs, hikes, walks, and lifts.
I've done a bit of online work to keep me connected and worked on a course. I've read and thoroughly enjoyed the active weather.
Mix that with visiting southern friends and a little bit of family time and we've created a recipe that works for us.
We've eaten great food and had great restaurant experiences.
A trip to the coast is not complete until we make a stop at Leucadia Donuts even though I'll pay for it later. ๐
We've picked up and 'moved' three times which has allowed us to have a change of scenery and experiences.
We've been in homemade condo gyms, resort gyms and hotel gyms.
We've walked palm treed sidewalks, ocean side sandy paths and the always entertaining streets of Vegas.
But the highlights are always our trail runs and hikes.
If you've read this far..
110 kms over 18 hikes.
Some are repeats but we always manage to find new ones.
I don't need harrowing climbs or tons of mileage but I do always appreciate a good view.
I've narrowed down our new top five for this year.
1. Liberty Arch and Colorado Overlook.
2. Historic Railroad Trail to Hoover Dam.
3. Calico Trails to Calico Tanks
4. Ryan Mt.
5. The Maze Loop
Honorable mention goes to Annie's Canyon Trail that led to the cutest little slot canyon. The only reason we went was because of the name.
As always you can follow me on AllTrails.
This concludes our spring training camp. Get out there, get moving. See some things. Engage with nature no matter how short of time. Take your family, find a friend, go by yourself.
Live life, stop watching others.
