BIGGEST WIN BY 330 RUNS IN MANITOBA CRICKET HISTORY

It was an excellent, exceptional display of batting by Rajbir Sandhu (Majha) of Sher-E-Maples Cricket Club scoring 232 runs not out in just 80 balls. He was unstoppable in this game against Hurricane 11 , indeed he himself was hurricane .This game has quite a few cricket records made and broken.

Came to open the batting , Rajbir played through out the innings which consists of 25 fours and 13 sixes taking the team total to 417 runs in 25 overs. He was very well supported by captain joban as an opener, Sahil Dhindsa (quick fifty) and varinder Singh( fiery fity) .

Rajbir singh also known as (Majha) comes from village Valtoha from Majha region of punjab and is known for his explosive batting in Manitoba Cricket Association .

The bowling department did an amazing job getting the opposition out on 80 runs there by winning the game by 330 run.

Sher E Maples Riders have registered their third consecutive win this season and is knownfor its deadly batting. This is their first season playing with MCA and doing wonders till now in Div 3 and eyeing to lead the division and making to Division 2 .

Its time to applaud, appreciate one of the greatest knocks of cricketing history in Manitoba and world Cricket Canada

Still long way to go , it indeed is just a starting.

The shorter format turned out not to be in favour last friday when team Sher E Maples lost to Winnipeg Bluss CC in 20 over rescheduled game.

The Shers could not get to good start and lost quick wickets in first six overs. They were 28/4 once before Harpeet Saini, Amanjeet singh , Jimmy brar and Harman batth came to rescue.

Harpreet saini and Amanjeet batted sensibly and had a very good partnership before Amanjeet got out caught behind.
Jimmy brar did hit some boundries and was well aupported by Happy Saini again.
Harpreet saini played some great shots hitting a few fours and sixes . The pick of the day in the batting was Harman paying sensible innings and hitting huge sixes over Square leg . Both managed to take score to 137 in 20 overs which is considered as fighting total.

In the second innings Harman and Jimmy gave a great start to the team conceding just 39 runs in 9 overs. The shers had the game in their favour till 10 th over when Blues needed 100 in last 10 overs but Simran and Hirusha played the innings of their life and kept on scoring runs off the best bowlers like Satvir Kaler , Trevor and Happy Saini.
Amanjeet did bowl a good spell but it got too late when two wickets fell for blues.

This was the first loss in 4 games for Sher E Maples. Shers will face Winnipeg blues on June 22/2024 in 50 overs game in Winkler.

ANOTHET WIN IN THE BAG , WINNING TWO OUT OF TWO.

It was another successful day of Cricket beating one of the best teams of the Elite division. Bowling first after winning the toss ,Sher E maples got opener batsman in the first over and then getting three more in quick succession. Harpreet Saini bowled good fast swinging deliveries . The fifth wicket partnership between Moaz Quazi and Shane Shillingford took score close to 100 before Karan kundan bowled really good slower deliver and getting important wicket of Shane .
Moaz qazi was bowled by one of the gems of a delivery by Sher E Maples captain satvir kaler. Araib khan the big hitter of the ball hit three huges sixes before got caught behind of Karan Kundan. He couldnt capitalize much from a drop catch. The last three wickets could not do much and Crescents got bowled out for 118 Runs. Amazing bowling by Trevor Manoosingh and satvir Kaler giving only 18 runs in 16 overs between them.

Sher E maples got off to poor start loosing opener Binny gill in second over of the innings.
The other three top order batsmen could not score alot and team was 4 wickets down for 50 runs but it was Trevor again stealing the show and scored 45 not out . He along with Amanjeet and Harpreet Saini took the game away from Cresents. It turned out to be an easy win for SEM.

A great team work once again in all departments of the game.

Sher E maples will take on winnipeg Blues and cosmos Lancers coming friday and Saturday respectively in T20 at La Barriere 3.

Victory on our mind. It has been a perfect start to the 50 overs season MCA outdoor 2024. With first two games rescheduled for @@@@ this month, could not have asked more than this. Beating champions of 2023 Cosmos Cricket club in the opener.
Purely a team effort right from the word go with Binny gill and Garry giving quick start. Mandeep saini and Garry went on for a good partnership after two wickets in quick succession of Binny gill and Amarinder Singh.

Garry got unlucky by hitting strainght into hands of Cosmos captain Sunny in the covers.
The next wicket partnership between Trevor Manoosingh and Mandeep Saini took away the game with Mandeep scoring huge sixes and went on to make 69 runs. unfortunately Trevor mossed his second fifty by 5 runs. Both got out within a few overs apart. New lad Khushwinder Singh also score double figure with sensational boundry over the point.

The next partnership between Harpreet Saini and Jimmy brar took the total to daunting 266 Runs in 50 overs. Not to miss wuick knock of 20 runs off 8 balls by Amanjeet singh . Those boundries came right from the middle of the bat.

The cosmos openers gave a bery good start with 46 runs in 10 overs without a wicket. No doubt Jimmy brar and harman bowled exceptionally well. The thunderstorm warning was really at the back of both the teams but Satvir Kaler’s first wicket of Garry Romana set the tone and then Happy saini got Avaljeet Sandhu very early in the innings and then Satvir Kaler getting shivam’s important wicket lead to change the whole scnerio and with D/L in effect Sher E Maples won the game by 14 runs. Had the last wicket not came , the results would have been different.

A great decision by the Captain to bat first.
