For too long, I confused fear with wisdom.
I thought the voice that was the loudest in my head was keeping me safe.

But the truth is not always loud, and it is not always safe.

Scared = desire + risk.

That voice that scares you when it whispers to your heart, challenging you to grow, daring you to be strong, pushing you to accept your truth, while embracing the unknown.

That voice is the line drawn on a map to help you navigate the road to a life well-lived.

That voice is passion.

Fear = protection + paralysis.

That fearful voice wants comfort, not growth. It repeats past pain, chooses the known, and gives up on hope. Fear provides you with excuses that keep you exactly where you are, preventing you from moving forward and stopping you in your tracks.

I choose:
- to go to bed with hope, and wake up scared
- to move boldly, with pride and experience
Today, I choose to listen to the whisper and ignore the fear!

DAY TWO of the WTKO Canada Fall 2024 Invitational Seminar saw three of our seniors head out early this morning for a day trip to Brandon where they enjoyed 4 hours of training with Scott Middleton Sensei and Guest Instructor Kai Johannessen Sensei. After training last night, and today, you'd think they'd be ready for rest, but NOT YET! Final day of seminar returns to Winnipeg tomorrow for a packed day of training and examinations, plus many more of our students planning to attend on what will surely be the busiest of the three day event! THANK YOU WTKO CANADA for continuing to offer the Karate community these fantastic events with phenomenal instructors! Osu!
