Ever felt invisible on a special day?

A few years ago on Mother’s Day, Erin felt totally uncelebrated. She reached out, raw and honest, and together we unpacked some heavy expectations that had become lodged between her and the people she loved.

What she discovered went deeper than her desire for recognition. She learned that she needed to show herself love, speak her needs, and find peace—even when others don’t show up the way she‘d like. And she gained the practical tools she needed to make it happen.

Erin’s words: “I found resolution that day…I feel equipped to make my needs known and I feel a greater sense of self-love…”

If you’re ready for that kind of shift, but don’t want to jump into private coaching, check out my Radiant YOU! program. It teaches the same tools Erin and I went through together to create her breakthrough (and so much more!).

Why does your brain keep you stuck?

Turns out, it’s not a character flaw. It’s science. Your brain is built to keep you safe, not to make big leaps into the unknown.

Ever notice how you cling to old stories, try to take on too much, or forget to celebrate tiny wins? That’s your nervous system doing its job. Even lone-wolfing and expecting yourself to get instant results are just survival strategies on autopilot.

The good news? You can shift this, step by step.

Have you ever wondered why sometimes you can’t just “snap out of it”? Like your brain is somehow TRYING to hold you back, confuse you, or cause problems.

Here’s the not-so-secret truth: Your brain isn’t broken. Nor is it actually out to get you. It’s simply running an old program - looping through patterns it learned in the past to keep you out of harms way. The problem is, your brain doesn’t always get it right.

For example: your survival brain doesn’t differentiate between a bear attacking you or a fight with your partner. So the protective patterns, physical responses and emotional reactions it activates to protect you are not always supportive or necessary for the situation you are in.

The upshot? Those moments where you feel frozen, foggy, or like you’re running in circles? Totally normal (and totally shiftable).

“Stuckness” or the inability to snap out of a lull is not laziness, weakness, or a character flaw. It’s a survival strategy your nervous system learned…and one it can also unlearn.🧠

Ready to see how? I’ve put together practical, science-informed tools to support you (no hustle or shame required) on my website.

What if safety is the turning point?

We talk a lot about change, but often get stuck trying to make that change happen and/or stick. We jump into ‘doing’. Hustle. ‘Techniques’.

But what if the real magic happens when we create the safety to show up as we are? When we can stop pretending. When we remove any pressure to perform for the room. When we can truly be ourselves, be seen and feel appreciated.

Curious how to create this kind of safety (both for yourself and for others)? To learn how you can stop hustling for worth and start building internal security, visit my website.

Feeling anxious or wound up right now?

Sometimes your system gets activated by a steady drip of stresses that pile up over time. Before you realize what’s happening, it can feel like your thoughts are racing, your chest is tight, or your inner critic is suddenly screaming in your ear.

Here’s a quick reset you can use when you find yourself spinning. It uses tools that research links to lowering stress, calming your nervous system, and easing that inner pressure.

You can do this anywhere, anytime.

1. Start with your breath.
Take two inhales back-to-back — one full breath in, then a smaller “top-up” inhale right after.

Then exhale slowly through your mouth, letting the out-breath stretch out longer than the inhale.

Repeat 3 times.

2. Shift your attention to the room.
Look around and name three neutral objects you can see.

Notice two things you can physically feel.

Listen for one sound.

This helps your system anchor to the present moment (the only place from which you can operate effectively).

3. Add soothing touch.
Place your hands on your heart, cheek, or the side of your neck. Or, wrap yourself in a self-hug, rubbing your arms as you do so.

Hold for 15–30 seconds.

Supportive touch is shown to reduce stress signals in the body.

4. Bring in a kind voice.
Say one gentle sentence to yourself — something you’d say to someone you care about.

This helps lower internal tension and research shows it to have long term benefits for overall mental health.

5. Choose a tiny next action.
What’s one small thing you can do next — something clear, achievable, and not mentally overwhelming? A time-limited sprint? A small piece of a bigger task?

Small actions combine. They build momentum and competence. Competence, in turn, builds confidence. :)

Remember even one step, imperfectly executed, is a win!

I am not broken.

4 words.

34 years before I believed them.

For a long time, I believed my stuckness was due to a flaw in how I was built. I hustled, I shamed myself, I tried to “fix” what I thought was wrong.

But the kicker was that I was never broken. I was simply buried - under old stories and outdated survival habits.

Learning WHY I felt like I did and how my brain and body were working FOR ME (not against me) was like turning on a lightbulb.

For the first time I was able to see my journey with compassion instead of criticism. Tiny steps were enough. I felt like a partner with my mind vs a victim to it.

I could finally get unstuck.

And you can do it too.

If you’re tired of fighting yourself, you’re not alone. Real change is possible. Not with hustle or shame, but with understanding and the right tools.

Curious what that looks like for you? Check out my online courses.

Your shift can start today. 💛

Ever wonder why you feel so stuck?

Most of us spend hours doing the same things, even when we want change. It’s not a flaw — it’s part of how your survival system is wired.

Humans often repeat familiar patterns because the brain is designed to prioritize predictability and reduce uncertainty. Familiar routines require less energy and feel safer to your nervous system, even when they don’t align with what you consciously want.

It's Black Friday, and I've been busy making my once-a-year offer.

This year, I wanted something that would honour the space I was in when I struggled most.

It isn't a secret that not so long ago I was in a MUCH different place. My brain felt constantly overloaded. My nervous system felt like it was always working overtime.

I was juggling work, life, other people’s needs, my own expectations, and the pressure to “keep it together” long after I felt like I was already maxed.

In those days, I was working hard on my own personal development. I understood the theory behind everything I was feeling, but getting through it on the actual hard days often felt impossible.

I didn't want another heavy course or long-term commitment.
Or a mindset sprint.
Or twelve new habits.

I wanted to pick something up, use it immediately, get on track, and then move on.

👉 Something to 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗺𝘆 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱 so I could see what I was actually dealing with.
👉 Something to 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗺𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝘆 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 instead of where I thought it was going.
👉 Something to 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗮 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 when my brain felt foggy.
👉 Something I could 𝗱𝗼 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗽𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 that still moved me forward.

I would have given anything for resources like this, all in one place, in a bite-sized format my brain could handle when it wasn't at its best.

The problem was, the tools WEREN'T available in one place.

And they weren't bite-sized.

They were buried inside big courses, long videos, walls of text, multi-day challenges, or dense workbooks (none of which I had the capacity for).

Fast-forward 15 years.

I built myself and my clients the library I always wished for.

One you can dip into whenever the need strikes, that doesn't create overwhelm or take eons to find what's needed.

Journals. Assessments. Workbooks. Card decks. Meditations. Reference tools.

Each one created to support a specific problem:
● mental clutter,
● self-criticism,
● unfinished tasks,
● decision fatigue,
● nervous system overload,
● lack of clarity,
● weak boundaries around time and energy,..and so on.

This year, 50+ of these, with a value of over $900, are included in my Black Friday Insanity Bundle — for only $47.

Not because I think anyone needs to “fix themself.”

Not because I believe one purchase will change someone's entire life.

But because I know what it’s like to keep going with an overloaded brain and a maxed out system — and I also know how much easier it is when you don't need to think your way through everything from scratch, on your own.

10/20/2025

Last weekend I started writing lyrics for the first time since I was in my 20’s. I didn’t do it to make money. It wasn’t to pass time. It wasn’t even for anyone to hear.

I did it because it felt incredible.

My husband found a crazy AI music program and, intrigued, I started experimenting.

I didn’t notice the hours passing. Two days slipped by without sleep. Not because I was avoiding something or because there was some kind of deadline — but because I found some rare kind of creative energy that seemed to feed itself.

Every note, every edit, every new sound made the next one possible. It was like my mind, my body, and that little spark inside me were finally aligned, working toward nothing except expression.

It made me think about how rarely that happens. How much of my life has become functional. Productive. Structured. Every hobby turns into a side hustle. Every curiosity has to “mean” something.

Which is ironic.

Studies have shown that creative expression itself is useful. That taking time to pursue creativity has measurable effects on wellbeing — not just emotionally, but physiologically.

Nearly half of adults engage in creative activities to relieve stress or anxiety. Sixty-three percent say creative work improves confidence and reduces anxiety. Creating something (anything) is also shown to boost life satisfaction as much as meaningful employment.

These are not small numbers. They’re proof that doing what fills us up changes the chemistry of the mind and body. That joy, engagement, curiosity, all build psychological resources that strengthen resilience and clarity.

It makes me wonder how much is lost when life revolves around “apparent” usefulness. How much of ourselves we cut off. How often we tell ourselves there isn’t time.

And I can’t help but wonder how much the world as a whole suffers because of it.

I get people can’t just take two days off at random to play…I really do. But there’s got to be a median between “all the time” and “nothing at all.”

I’d love to hear your take on this. Do you pursue creativity for the sake of creativity? How often? How much does it shape your sense of wellbeing?

And if you’re curious about what I created or the program I used to bring my lyrics to life, DM me — I’d be happy to share.
