🏏 Wingham Falcons Cricket Club – Tournament Recap 🏏

On July 20, 2025, our Wingham Falcons soared high at the Elma Public School Ground, Atwood, Ontario, in a spirited tournament featuring 8 competitive teams.

We started strong — winning both league matches comprehensively 💪. In the semi-final, our boys pulled off a clean sweep, winning without losing a single wicket! 🙌

In the final, we fought hard and gave it our all, but couldn’t quite cross the line. We proudly finished as Runner-Ups — a consistent testament to our teamwork and determination. 🥈

Our new captain, Gurpreet Singh, led with passion, strategy, and great energy on the field.

Our outgoing captain, Rakesh (Rocky), was crowned Most Valuable Player of the Tournament for his outstanding all-round performance.

🏏 Wingham Falcons Soar to the Finals! 🏏

We are proud to announce that Wingham Falcons stood as runners-up in a fierce competition among 7 teams at the recent tournament, with Black Hawks Kitchener taking home the trophy. Though we came in second, we played like true champions, and the trophy will be ours next time!

A huge thank you to the Township of North Huron, Huron County, and our amazing sponsors: Petro Canada, Circle K, and Wingham Motel. Your support made all the difference.

We also want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the organizing team and every single person who contributed to making this tournament a success. To the fans who turned up and supported the game—you were incredible!
