Rowan's Law Day
At just 17, Rowan Stringer tragically lost her life in 2013 due to Second Impact Syndrome, a result of multiple concussions in a short span while playing rugby.
In 2018, Rowan’s Law was passed in Ontario to improve concussion safety in youth sports. It ensures that athletes, coaches, parents, and teachers are educated on concussion awareness and follow strict return-to-play protocols.
📅 Rowan’s Law Day is now observed every year on the last Wednesday of September, a powerful reminder to protect the brains and futures of young athletes.
Know the signs and learn how to prevent, identify and manage concussions.
