Once upon a time... LOL

This is how the swimming pool bug started. My Dad (Dave Askew) running Fundy Pools of Berwick, NS.

This is a pool he put in over 30 years ago.

Now, 3 generations later we are still working for those wonderful customers.

Just goes to show, you never know how things are gonna start.

If you have a pool, please consider doing this. Use a rubber mat that allows animals who have fallen into your pool be able to escape safely. This is a real animal safety concern. Shelter staff pulled two dogs that were drowning from a pool today. The dogs were hypothermic and had to be rushed to the vet. They are expected to make a full recovery, but given a few more minutes in the pool there would likely have been a different outcome. Putting a rubber mat from your pool to deck gives animals a chance to escape.
