Sly Rhythms Sly brings over 20 years of African cultural drumming, dancing and instruction from Ghana to Canada

Sly Rhythms teaches and performs African drumming and dancing. Sly Kuntuo Asare has spent over 20 years as a cultural drummer, dancer and instructor in Ghana, West Africa. Sly has trained hundreds of students from kindergarten up to adults how to perform cultural drumming and dancing. Sly and his groups have also performed at several weddings, funerals, festivals, school programs, and national pro

grams throughout Ghana. Sly has choreographed and performed in major national events each year for every Ghanaian president from 2002 to 2021. Sly also performed for President Barack Obama’s visit to Cape Coast, Ghana in 2009. As a newcomer to Windsor, Ontario, Canada in 2022, Sly is bringing his energy, talent and a taste of his culture to our community. Sly engages and draws the best out of every one of his students as they come to love his outgoing spirit. Sly uses his music to help students learn about themselves, build confidence, and open their minds to African culture.
