Last night was a good one! 👟

A huge thank you to our HOKA rep for bringing out the new Clifton Pro for everyone to demo at Checkers. It was awesome seeing so many runners put some miles on them and hear what everyone thought. Safe to say... we're big fans. 😎

If you missed out, don't worry! Join us next Sunday, August 9, for our Chicken BBQ Run at Runner's Roost East Amherst. We'll kick things off with a free community run at 11:30 AM, and after the run you can pick up a delicious chicken BBQ from BW's Smoking Barrel Barbecue.

The Queen City Mile is less than 2 weeks away! We are in need of volunteers for the race. We need 17 traffic volunteers, 2 finish line volunteers and 1 volunteer for packet-pickup/day of race signup.

All volunteers will receive a shirt, a complimentary drink at our post-race party, and our sincere appreciation!

Every Tuesday at 6pm, Checkers hosts our track workouts at Williamsville East (151 Paradise Rd, East Amherst). We have track workouts for all paces, please join us! We do have some special track workouts coming up:
* August 11: Battle of Buffalo, a friendly competition against local running clubs, with a happy hour after at Sorrentino's in Williamsville
* August 18: Yoga following the workout

Join us for a fun Checkers track practice on Tuesday, July 28 at Williamsville East (151 Paradise Rd, East Amherst) at 6pm. Thanks to Rob Fox and Runner's Roost, a Hoka representative will be joining us at track. This is your chance to test run new Hoka shoes, including the all-new Clifton Pro!
