On September 10, 2026, the Honourable Bernadette McIntyre, Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan, presented Wilkie District Fire Department Deputy Chief Craig Sittler with the Saskatchewan Protective Services Medal, recognizing his exemplary long service.

The Saskatchewan Protective Services Medal recognizes individuals who work directly to protect people and/or property, as well as supervisory personnel in public service sectors who help ensure the safety, security, and protection of Saskatchewan citizens.

These individuals set high standards and strive for excellence in their duties so that everyone in Saskatchewan can live safe and secure lives. It is important that we take the time to recognize the courage, commitment, and dedication demonstrated by our emergency professionals.

Congratulations, Craig, on this outstanding accomplishment and well-deserved recognition. Thank you for your 25 years of dedicated service to the community and for your continued commitment to the Wilkie District Fire Department.
