🥌 Sweeping the ice, and now washing your cars! 🚗🧽

​The Wilberforce Curling Club is incredibly proud of our ongoing partnership with Wilberforce Elementary School and our thriving Youth Curling Program. We love seeing the next generation of local curlers learn the game and develop their skills on the ice!

​Now, it's our community's turn to support them. Join the Grade 8s for their Youth Fundraising Car Wash and Bottle Drive!

Come on out, get your vehicle shining, and show our kids some love!

Oh ya...don't forget your empties!!

After a long winter (too long, if you ask me), Highlands Cinemas is back.

We reopen tomorrow — May 1st.

For over 45 years, this place has been a little different. Built in the woods, run on stubbornness, a love of movies, and the firm belief that watching a film should actually feel like something.

If you’ve been here before, you know.
If you haven’t… well, it’s about time you fixed that.

We’ve got the screens ready, the popcorn waiting, and yes—the cats are supervising as usual (poorly, but enthusiastically).

Come out, get your popcorn, check out the displays, and watch something the way it was meant to be seen: big screen and no nonsense.

What a wonderful night at our Annual General Meeting! 🥌✨

As we officially close the books on another season at the Wilberforce Curling Club, looking at these photos and faces reminds us of what truly makes this place so special. We can tally up the scorecards and celebrate the bonspiels, but the real heart of our club isn't found in the rings—it's found in all of you. ❤️

During the long winter months, this club serves as a beacon of warmth and connection. It’s the shared laughter echoing from the lounge, the joy of sitting down with neighbours after a hard-fought match, and the incredible fellowship that makes this place feel like a second home.

A big THANK YOU to our tireless volunteers, our dedicated board, and every single member who walked through our doors with a broom and a smile this year. You are the reason the Wilberforce Curling Club is more than just a sports club—we are a community.

CONGRATS to Team Dunstone on winning the SILVER medal at the 2026 LGT World Men's Curling Championship! Your resilience and shot-making on the world stage were a thrill to watch. 🇨🇦👏

And a very ​Happy Retirement, E.J. Harnden! 🎉🧹

​As E.J. hangs up his broom, we want to celebrate an absolutely legendary career. Known for his fierce intensity and unmatched sweeping prowess, E.J. is retiring with an Olympic Gold, a Brier Championship, numerous Grand Slam titles, and now, a World Silver.

​Capping off this incredible journey on the world stage alongside his brother, Ryan, is a fitting final chapter for a remarkable competitor.

Thank you for everything you've given to the sport, E.J. Enjoy your well-deserved retirement! 🍻
