Bruce County has launched the Active Transportation and Recreational Trails Master Plan Survey and encourages the public and all stakeholders to provide input on how the future of trails is shaped in the County.

Throughout the month of August, the public is invited to share their feedback and ideas at www.brucecounty.on.ca/trails-master-plan

This online survey focusses on active transportation like cycling routes and on recreational trails within County forests.

Brant Tract Update

The north end of Rabbit Run is now open. The trail was closed for bridge repairs and tree removal due to damage caused by last month’s storm.

UPDATE: Brant Tract on Concession 12 in Brockton has now reopened after storm debris cleanup. Trails are open, but Rabbit Run from Intersection 6 to the Red Pine Loop remains closed due to downed trees and a damaged bridge. Brant Tract Closure

Due to yesterday’s storm, the majority of trails and roads at the Brant Tract are impassable and will be closed until trees and debris can be removed.

Tree felling and removal will continue over the next couple of days and we will keep you posted on our progress. Please respect the closure and stay off the trails.

Brant Tract Update-A new 60’ bridge between the Brainbuster and East Road is now complete and open for use.

The Brant Tract has reopened. Conditions vary throughout the property so use caution while out on the trails.

The MTB Park and Carrick Tract are open and in good condition.

The Lindsay Tract is open, but with limited trail availability due to the logging that occurred last spring. Trail work will continue through the year to open those trails.
