🏒 WANT TO BECOME A HOCKEY OFFICIAL? MOOSOMIN IS HOSTING A LEVEL 1 CLINIC! 🏒

Moosomin Minor Hockey, in partnership with Hockey Saskatchewan, is excited to host a Level 1 Hockey Officials Clinic on October 31 in Moosomin!

Whether you want to stay involved in hockey, build confidence, earn some extra money, get more ice time, or learn the game from a whole new perspective, officiating is a great way to be part of the game!

📍 LEVEL 1 — MOOSOMIN | OCTOBER 31
🏫 Classroom Session: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
⛸️ On-Ice Session: 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM

New officials must complete their required registration and online Hockey Canada modules before attending the clinic.

📣 Attention Minor Hockey Coaches!

Criminal Record Checks can be completed Sunday, September 20 at the Whitewood Rink during the Bruce Thompson Power Skating Clinic. 🏒

A big thank you to Marcy Heikkila with the RCMP for taking the time to come out and complete these for our coaches. We really appreciate it!

Please take advantage of this opportunity if you still need your Criminal Record Check completed for the upcoming season.

🏒 MONDAY NIGHT TRAINING WITH EDGE 2 EDGE HOCKEY! 🏒

Whitewood Minor Hockey is excited to welcome back Casey O’Brien with Edge 2 Edge Hockey for our regular player development throughout the 2026/27 season!

These sessions are FREE for all Whitewood Minor Hockey players thanks to donations from Pipestone BULL BASH and Whitewood Farmers & Friends Bonspiel. 🙏

📅 Training Dates:
Oct. 19
Nov. 2, 16 & 30
Dec. 14 & 21
Jan. 18 & 25
Feb. 1, 8 & 22

Training will run between 6:00–8:15 PM. Age groupings and individual ice times will be determined and shared closer to the sessions. U9, U11, U13 & U15 players will all have training opportunities.

We’re also kicking things off on October 5 with a specialized Defence & Body Checking session for U13/U15.

We’re proud to be able to offer quality development opportunities like this right here at home and at no additional cost to our families! 🙌

Whitewood Minor Hockey is excited to welcome Kyler Beckett with Net Guardians back for goalie development throughout the 2026/27 season!

Registration deadline is fast approaching. Late fees will be applied. Good news - we will have teams for u7, u9, u11, u13, and u15!!! Unfortunately, no u18 team this year.

Get your kids registered!

The deadline for regular registration is quickly approaching. You have until September 5th, 2026 to get your players registered. After that date, late fees will apply.

Have a player trying out for AA? No worries, you can still register with us so we know they want to play. Payments for fees are not due until Oct. 15.

Mark your calendars Elks families. We have an exciting power skating weekend lined up for our players born in 2012 through 2019 and you won't want to miss it!

We have Bruce Thompson coming in for the weekend to lead these power skating sessions. It's a great opportunity to knock the rust off and get ready for the season.

This is only available for our Whitewood Elks athletes so make sure you get those registrations in!

Stay tuned for updates on which group your child will be in.

📣 Attention Hockey Parents!
We’re looking for 12 volunteers to help work the bar at the Pipestone Bull Bash on Friday, July 10th.

Shifts are:
5:30-8:30pm
8:30-11:30pm
11:30-1:30am

By lending a hand, you’ll be directly supporting our players — Part of the proceeds from this event will go toward important development initiatives like power skating, defensive skills, body checking clinics, and goalie training.

This is a great opportunity to give back and help our athletes grow!
