Athlete of the Month: Ryan McLennan 🏅

Congratulations to Ryan, our NSA Athlete of the Month!

Ryan’s fencing journey began right here in Whitehorse as a teenager. After stepping away during university, he returned to the sport in 2022 with a renewed focus and a mission to elevate his performance.

Since switching his focus to Épée, Ryan has transformed into a true student of the sport — combining explosive athleticism with tactical patience and precision. His hard work continues to pay off with a recent Silver medal in Calgary and a double-medal performance at the Yukon Championships.

Known for his lightning-fast toe touches and technical ex*****on, Ryan embodies what it means to be a modern athlete: disciplined, powerful, and community-driven.

We’re proud to have Ryan as part of the NSA family. Congratulations again, Ryan 👏

In partnership with Yukon Summer Hockey Club, NSA’s Hockey Off-Season Training helps athletes build strength, speed, and performance for the next level.

Over 6 weeks, you’ll build a strong foundation and graduate into regular classes ready to keep progressing.

Team Spotlight: Yukon Subzero 15U Boys ❄️🏐

The Yukon Subzero 15U Boys are on an crazy  run!

At Premier 1 in Calgary, they brought home Gold in Division 1, Tier 2, battling through top programs. St. Albert, the NAIT Nooks, and finishing with a huge win over Canuck Black.

Recently at Premier 3, they did it again! Earning Gold in Division 2 with a big win over YYC.

All the hard work in the gym and on the floor is showing. Back-to-back gold performances and now heading into Division 1 at Provincials.

A huge congratulations and so well deserved!

Huge congrats to on an unreal freshman season.

What stands out most isn’t just the list of awards — it’s how he’s consistently separated himself at every level he’s played. The next step is clear.

Gavin becomes just the 4th player in Penn State history to earn All-American honours, and continues to show why he’s the best playmaker in this year’s NHL Draft.

Gavin is back at NSA to kick off the offseason, and we’re excited to help guide the next phase of his training toward the NHL.
