Flatwater North Flatwater North is dedicated to actively promoting and providing opportunities to enjoy, participate and excel in flatwater paddle sports for all Yukoners.

Flatwater Paddling Yukon Society (FPY) (Flatwater Sport Governing Body/Club) was officially incorporated on December 28, 2016, in order to expand opportunities for flatwater paddling for Yukoners. FPY is in the progress of being accredited as the Flatwater Sport Governing Body and a member of Canoe Kayak Canada. FPY would like to thank Sport Yukon, the Yukon Canoe Kayak Club (YCKC) and many other

Let’s take a massive team to the Fort Ridge Fall Classic, Sept 12–13. This trip is open to all youth athletes whether you’re a seasoned racer or a “Regatta Ready” participant wanting to try something new and exciting.

It’s a fantastic, welcoming weekend of racing where parents can come along too. To nail down accommodations (like booking a team house/Airbnb), please email us your interest and let us know if your child is attending by August 18th, 2026.

🌿 Spiritually - paddling offers a unique connection to nature, the water, and the world around us — creating moments of reflection, gratitude, and peace.

A quiet sunrise paddle, a weekend adventure, or time spent learning new skills with friends and community, paddling has a way of helping us slow down and reconnect with the world around us. Along with WePaddle Month, we encourage everyone to get outside, explore Canada’s waterways, and experience the many ways paddling can support overall wellness.
