🎉 CGC Youth Club is BACK! 🎉

We're excited to welcome youth ages 10-17 back to the Canada Games Centre for another season of fun, connection, creativity, and community!

Starting Thursday, October 15, CGC Youth Club will be open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM.

Youth Club is a free drop-in recreational space that provides low-barrier opportunities for young people to build confidence, develop life skills, make new friends, and strengthen community connections through active play, creative activities, and engaging programs.

Weekly Activities

🎮 Thursday: Hangout Hub & PS4 Gaming
A relaxed space to connect with friends, play games, and unwind.

🏊 Friday: Swim Night (6:30 PM-8:00 PM)
Make a splash with friends during this popular weekly swim opportunity.
Remember to pop by the youth Club to sign-in and receive your wristband for swimming!

🎲 Saturday: Board Games, Cards & Crafts
Get creative, learn new games, and enjoy a fun social atmosphere.

✅ Ages 10-17
✅ Free drop-in program
✅ No wristband required
✅ Sign in at the door to participate

Youth are welcome to come and go throughout the evening. Parents/guardians are responsible for youth transportation and whereabouts while attending.

This program is offered in partnership with Raven ReCentre and with the support of the Yukon Government.

Join local multi-disciplinary artist and art educator, Alaena Warner, to create a Halloween-themed cardboard mask! Construct the base of a cardboard animal mask based on a prototype of a raven/bird or wolf/coyote. Participants will take their masks home to customize them.

Alaena will be supported by Nellie and Lutra - kid crafters extraordinaire who grew up in environmentally conscious households and love repurposing waste into art. From their passion to share this with other kids, the Waste-Not Create-A-Lot Club was born!

The club meets every 3rd Sunday of the month, joined by club leaders & kid crafters Nellie and Lutra. This month's workshop will be led by local artist, Alaena Warner. She will teach all of us how to craft animal masks using recycled cardboard!
