Congratulations to this beautiful couple, Alex and Sarah, who made their dreams come true and said “I Do!” 💍💛 This was the first wedding at our new timber-frame Pavilion at Widgawa Lodge, and we already have another wedding booked for next year. Nothing makes us happier than celebrating special occasions with our guests!

✨Introducing our new Welcome Centre!✨

We're beyond excited to unveil our brand new timber-frame glass pavilion Welcome Centre, located at the Highway 6 access point to Killarney Provincial Park. And it's more than just a Welcome Centre...

Overlooking the water, this beautiful space is now available to rent for a variety of special occasions and gatherings. Whether it's a serene yoga class, an inspiring painting party, a productive corporate retreat, a fun family reunion, or an unforgettable wedding (our first is already booked for September!), this venue offers a breathtaking backdrop for any event!

It's been a season full of energy and effort bringing this space to life, and we're thrilled to see it completed. We look forward to welcoming canoe trippers, visitors, and groups ready to experience Killarney in a truly unique and beautiful setting.

📍If you're passing through the west side of the park along Highway 6, we'd love for you to stop in, say hello, and be among the first to experience this exciting new addition to our park community.

Wilderness Traverse/ARWS North American Championships - A 30-Hour Adventure Race! There are 270 racers, over 100 canoes (stationed and leaving Widgawa Lodge for the 2nd leg of the race shortly), all part of this 4-stage orienteering race including trekking, paddle and portage, mountain biking, and a final trek finishing in Sudbury TOMORROW!

Nothing makes us happier than when our YMCA and highschool groups come and launch from Widgawa Lodge year after year for their backcountry experience! This group of 23 teenage girls from the YMCA went into Killarney Provincial Park for 14 days, and came back out singing and cheering each other back to shore! It’s always so incredibly moving to watch, and a memory they will cherish for a lifetime! 🛶⛺️

2025 is already shaping up to be a great year…

Let us introduce ourselves! We are Darren and Krista Henry, the new owners at Widgawa Lodge since 2022. We have been enjoying meeting you, our fellow nature enthusiasts! We have also been busy breathing new life and revitalization into Widgawa Lodge. In the coming days and weeks we will be sharing some of the exciting projects we’ve been working on as well as some of the great activities available in our area.

First, we want to say thank you to all the Killarney Provincial Park guests who come through Widgawa Lodge as we are the official Hwy 6 access point on the west side of Killarney.

Second, if you have only been on the east side of Killarney, consider taking the extra 30 minute drive next time to experience the west side where you will be greeted with tranquility, beauty, and some of the most inspiring scenes in nature. Many famous paintings from the Group of Seven came from this hidden gem on the west side!
