In several years of teaching musical theatre, and song & dance vocals, never once did I picture myself as the dancer, much less the competitor. Let me tell you, this whole mid-life-menopause-journey-of-self-discovery-and-adventure thing brings all sorts of gifts. And mine arrived wrapped in a crown and fur(ish) cape.

We went to 3 comps this year: , , and . We received the Judges Special Award at Legends for “Most Entertaining” and at The View for “The Art of the Bit”, where we also received Platinum.

I’m so grateful to have had this experience with , and to have worked with on this piece - thank you for believing in us and taking us on the journey! And as always, thank you to for the beautiful haven you’ve created for all of us with ❤️⭐️🔥❤️

2026 was one for the books, y’all. Singing at Taboo, AND “having” to perform in a crown…LFG!!

My friend Maureen’s dance studio, Xtreme Talent Dance Company in Abbotsford, is hosting an online auction to support their dancers going to competition. It happened. Kid #3 went and got herself educated. We went to Victoria last week to the UVic Convocation Ceremony, where we watched walk the stage and receive her BSc in BioPsych.

I AM SO PROUD OF MY KID. ❤️👩‍🎓 She worked her butt off, putting herself through school, living in a different (and expensive) city, and working one or more very full part-time jobs alongside her school commitments, for the entire 4 years. And now Grad school is on the horizon.

I can’t wait to see where life takes you, Chloe. You have so much to offer, and you deserve to be met at every step of your journey. You are incredibly kind, thoughtful, caring, smart, funny, curious, and emotionally intelligent. You’re a beautiful human, and I’m incredibly lucky & grateful that you’re my kid. I love you to the moon and back, forever. ❤️❤️

"Working with Sara was a formative part of my growth as a musician. Sara’s approach is one that is customized to each and every singer, songwriter, and musician. As an artist it is important to have someone who can guide you through the growth process. I often found that the way Sara teaches is through true active listening. She teaches you how to effectively listen to both the music, your body and your emotions to create stronger connection between the three. She has a sixth sense in understanding where a musician is at and an ability to then focus on different parts of what makes that musician special.
