White Fox Year Ender

The March 2023 Year Ender will not be happening this year. Due to rising costs, the artificial ice will be shut off at the end of February and the skating rink will only have natural ice for the remainder of the season, which means there will not be ice come the time of the tournament.

Each year this tourney takes a huge amount of work and money to put on. We have some amazing volunteers and teams that come out each year but things have changed since COVID.

The Year Ender Planning Committee is looking at opportunities to have the tourney at another time of the year that fits in the time frame of when the artificial ice will be in.

The organizing committee for the Year End Tourney has made the tough decision to not hold the 2022 tourney.

With restrictions changing at the end of February, there was not enough time to successfully pull together the tourney for this year. It takes considerable time, money and volunteers to bring this annual tourney to you all each year and we want to put forward the best event possible when we are able to safely host it again.

We will be working very hard to bring you all a fantastic tourney in 2023!

White Fox Skating Rink NHL “COVID” Playoff Draft

We’re hosting a playoff draft in support of the White Fox Skating Rink. The draft will be hosted online, and details will be sent out at a later date on how to access it. For the draft, you’ll pick 15 players and 1 goalie from any NHL team that’s in either the play-in round or the actual playoffs. Points are earned once the elimination round is complete.

Points are earned as followed:
- One point per goal and one point per assist
- One point for a goalie win and one point for a shutout

Payout is 50%
- 30% for 1st place
- 15% for 2nd place
- 5% for 3rd place

The cost to enter is $25 per team. You can email your team to [email protected] along with your team name, your name and phone number. Payment can be done through e-transfers to the same email.

Deadline to submit teams is July 31, 2020.
