I have received a couple of emails this morning because the doors are closed. Here is why:

Dear Sir,

Today is November 11th: Remembrance Day

As a long time military veteran, I decided 23 years ago that my facilities will always be closed on this day.

Today is not a holiday, but a solemn day of remembering the past and reflection.

Our way of life in Canada is not a given and only through the sacrifices of over 120,000 Canadians do we get to enjoy this amazing country.

I urge you to take today to visit a service and reflect.

To encourage my team to do the same, I close. While this is standard for Target Sports; we did send out an email reminder yesterday. It is unfortunate you did not see this message.

I apologize for your inconvenience but please put in your calendar that Target Sports is always closed on Christmas Day, New Year’s Day and Remembrance Day.
