WFSC is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing highly skilled Skate Canada Learn-to-Skate, Powerskating, and Figure Skating programs.

The Whitby Figure Skating Club is a not-for-profit organization committed to delivering high-quality Skate Canada programs for skaters of all ages and abilities while promoting skill development, confidence and a lifelong love of skating. Our Figure Skating programs include the STARSkate test stream, CompetitiveSkate and Synchronized skating. Our annual membership of 1000+ skaters enjoy instructio

n from our Skate Canada Coaches in exemplary programs. The majority of our programs take place at McKinney Centre, on McKinney Drive in North Whitby (north of Taunton Road and east of Baldwin Street).

🍂⛸️ Fall 2026 Registration Opens August 15! ⛸️🍂

The countdown is on! Registration for Whitby Figure Skating Club’s 2026 Fall/Winter Season opens Saturday, August 15, and we can’t wait to welcome new and returning skaters back to the ice.

Whether your skater is taking their very first steps on the ice or pursuing their next skating goal, WFSC offers programs for every age and stage.

✨ Introducing Jamie Forsythe, WFSC’s Director of Skating ✨

We are proud to welcome Jamie Forsythe as our Director of Skating, a key leadership role supporting the continued growth and development of our club.

Jamie is a National-level certified Skate Canada coach with nearly 20 years of experience spanning athlete development, choreography, officiating, and club leadership. Since beginning his coaching career in 2006, he has worked with clubs and athletes across Quebec, Ontario, and Nova Scotia—bringing a broad and thoughtful perspective to program development and performance pathways.

A Senior-level competitor in both Freeskate and Ice Dance, Jamie has coached athletes to the national stage and supported international competitors, including serving as head coach to Hong Kong and Israeli national champions. He is widely respected for his collaborative approach and his ability to work alongside coaches to elevate both individual athletes and overall programming.

His connection to WFSC is especially meaningful—having competed at McKinney as a junior and supported Whitby skaters over the years, this role represents a full-circle moment and a natural next step.

In this role, Jamie will focus on strengthening program structure, supporting clear athlete development pathways, and fostering a positive, high-performance environment where skaters and coaches can continue to grow and succeed. At the core of his approach is a commitment to developing not just strong athletes, but confident, resilient individuals.
