🔥 Judokaa Martial Arts Shines at the Hatash*ta Ontario Open 2024! 🔥

We are incredibly proud to share that Judokaa Martial Arts had an amazing showing at this year's Hatash*ta Ontario Open 2024, North America’s premier judo event! 🌟 Our athletes represented the club with unmatched skill, heart, and most importantly—true sportsmanship.

🥇 Two Gold Medals and One Bronze! 🥉

Our team left it all on the mat, and we’re thrilled to announce that Judokaa Martial Arts brought home TWO gold medals and a bronze! 💥 These wins are the result of months of hard training, dedication, and perseverance by our incredible athletes.

But beyond the medals, what stood out even more was the spirit and respect shown by our competitors, even in moments of loss. 🙌 When some of our Judokaa athletes didn’t come out on top, they still exemplified class and grace, leaving the tatami with their heads high, showing respect to their opponents, and embodying the true spirit of judo. It was amazing to witness their commitment to the values of our art, win or lose.

While our athletes were always humble in victory and respectful in defeat, it was disheartening to see that not all clubs held the same standard of sportsmanship. 😔 We witnessed behavior that reminded us just how important it is to uphold the integrity and respect that judo teaches. Despite these moments, Judokaa Martial Arts remained a shining example of what it means to be a true martial artist—on and off the mat. 💪

Special shout-out to our gold and bronze medalists! 🏅 You showed the power, technique, and determination that comes with years of hard work. Every grip, every throw, every hold—you earned it!

To every Judokaa competitor, whether you brought home a medal or not, you’ve made us all incredibly proud. Your commitment, hard work, and positive attitude are a reflection of the amazing community we have at Judokaa Martial Arts. The lessons learned in victory and defeat will stay with you forever, shaping you into even stronger martial artists and people.

Lastly, a huge thank you to our coaches, Sensei's, and supporters who came out to cheer on our team! 🙌 Your energy was contagious, and your encouragement gave our athletes that extra push when they needed it most.

Big shout out and a huge thanks for the small woman's self defense class yesterday. It was a perfect way to help get Mae S Ausman comfortable in a class setting with the ladies.

Judokaa Martial Arts Judo & Jiu Jitsu Club have been asked to put on these classes all around the Durham Region and we need more ladies trained on how to host them. If you have an interest please let us know.

Dear Judokaa Martial Arts Family and Friends,

We have some thrilling news to share! Our very own Sensei Ryan has been invited to compete at the World Masters Judo Shiai in Las Vegas, and we want to rally together to support him on this incredible journey!

Join us on Saturday, October 26 for a special event at the dojo, where we'll be raising funds to help cover Sensei Ryan's travel and competition costs. This is a fantastic opportunity for our community to come together, show our support, and cheer him on as he represents Judokaa on the world stage!

What can you do?

Bring your friends and family! The more, the merrier.
All proceeds from the event will go directly to helping Sensei Ryan with his trip.
There will be exciting activities, demonstrations, and more to make it a day to remember.
We are thinking of have a small in-house shiai for the kids as well which will be awesome!!!
Let’s pack the dojo and show Sensei Ryan just how much his dedication and leadership mean to us!

Last night after an embarrassing amount of years training in Japanese Ju Jitsu I earned the rank of shodan black belt.

I want to thank my instructor for not only the inspiration but the determination to keep moving forward in another art.

Thanks sensei Bob Burnett It's going to give our club more options in the future and even more services we will be able to offer the students.

I also want to thank all the people that attended yesterday it meant a lot.

We came, we saw, we conquered at the Save Max Sports Centre in Brampton, Ontario! 💥 With a team of 10 fierce fighters, Judokaa Martial Arts showcased their skills and brought home an impressive haul of medals!

🥋From a showing of some first time fighters to some of the best matches we have witnessed in some time.

🌟 2 GOLD MEDALS: Our champions rose to the occasion, demonstrating unmatched skill and determination on the mats!

🥈 6 SILVER MEDALS: The competition was fierce, but our Judokaa warriors fought with heart and earned their place on the podium!

🥉2 BRONZE MEDALS: Every match was a battle, and our fighters proved their mettle, securing well-deserved bronze medals!

From intense showdowns to thrilling victories, Judokaa Martial Arts showed the true spirit of judo - discipline, resilience, and respect. We couldn't be prouder of our athletes for their dedication and sportsmanship!

ALL CLASSES AND WE MIGHT EVEN HAVE A SPECIAL PROGRAM FOR THE MARCH BREAK WE ARE THINKING OF RUNNING THE MAAB SELF DEFENCE FOR ALL CLASSES FOR SOMETHING DIFFERENT.

JUDOKAA HAS A FEW SPOTS LEFT BUT WE ARE HAPPY THAT ALL PROGRAMS ARE PACKED WITH SMILING FACES THESE DAYS.
