After being an overweight, food-loving couch potato throughout most of my adult life, I fell in love with fitness after becoming fed up with my lifestyle, embarking on a mission of learning and self-improvement, losing nearly 30 pounds, and ga

ining an appreciable amount of muscle in the process. By placing attention on the vitally-interdependent areas of training, nutrition, mindset, and lifestyle; I'll help you achieve your goal physique with a structured, intelligent and flexible, training and nutrition program that suits your everyday life. My goal is to help you focus on the stuff that matters, filter out the fitness myths and distractions, keep you accountable, and help to empower and educate you to become self-sufficient for life, long after you move on past training with me. For local clients, I highly-recommend my hybrid training service, which combines the accountability and affordability of online training with the ultra-personalized touch of one-on-one gym sessions.

3-minute meal. You DO have time.

People seem to have no issue tracking their finances when they want to save for a car or a house, but tracking their food suddenly becomes "too much work" when they want to lose fat.

If it seems overwhelming from the outside, just understand that it's a skill like any other, and you can get really good at it really fast by practicing consistently, learning from your mistakes, and making the necessary corrections as you go.

Stop telling yourself the same disempowering story and give tracking an honest try. You won't be disappointed.

9 Reasons You Still Look the Same After Years in the Gym:

1. You show up without a plan and mostly train whatever you feel like that day.

2. You do 3 × 10 on every exercise, stop at the first sign of discomfort, and never train close enough to failure.

3. You treat lifting like a cardio circuit by rushing through your training sets without resting long enough to perform at a high level.

4. You train hard, then spend every weekend drinking like a sailor and eating like a toddler.

5. You never track your food or workouts.

6. You follow a 5-day split, but only make it to the gym three days most weeks.

7. You think you're too advanced for the basics.

8. You keep program hopping and never get past the learning phase with new exercises.

9. You drink like a sailor and eat like a toddler every weekend.

10. You “already know what to do but just can’t get yourself to do it,” yet you still refuse to get help.

People get way too caught up worrying about the occasional meal out or what they ate at a party.

I’m way more interested in what your normal week looks like.

What are you buying at the grocery store? What’s always in the house? What do you eat when you’re busy, tired or just throwing something together?

That’s where most of your nutrition happens.

Enjoy the dinner. Enjoy the party. Just make sure the boring everyday stuff is mostly taken care of.

Fat loss gets most of the attention, but building muscle is where you really learn patience.

There’s a reason the folks with the best physiques have usually been at it for years.

Buckle up and learn to enjoy the ride. 💪

If you’re still arguing about whether free weights or machines are better, you’re probably missing the point.

Free weights require more coordination, stabilization and control.

Machines provide more stability, which can make it easier to focus your effort on the muscle you’re actually trying to train.

But that doesn’t mean machines don’t require skill. Getting REALLY good at using them is a skill too.

You don’t need to pick a team.

Get good at free weights. Get good at machines.

Get really fu***ng good at both.

It's OK to want both.
