One of the best exercises for advanced skiers looking to dial in higher edge angles on steep terrain. 💥

At the start of the turn, focus on strong inclination and let your upper and lower body separate as the edge angle builds. Master this, and your carving on the steeps will feel next level. 🔥

Resistance bands are one of my favourite training tools for skiing. They’re simple, portable, and incredibly effective for improving the strength, balance, stability, and movement patterns that transfer directly onto the slopes.

In this video, I’m sharing 3 of my favourite banded exercises that I regularly use in my own training and with the skiers I coach. All you need is a resistance band with the appropriate level of resistance, and you can get a fantastic ski-specific workout almost anywhere.

Don’t just put your skis away for the summer—store them properly and they’ll perform much better next season. ⛷️

In this video I show my process for preparing skis for summer storage:

• Clean the base
• Brush out old wax and dirt
• Apply a generous layer of storage wax
• Leave the wax on until the start of next season

Leaving wax on the skis over summer is one of the easiest ways to protect your equipment. It helps prevent the base from drying out and also provides a protective layer over the steel edges, reducing the chance of surface rust while they’re in storage.

When winter rolls around, simply scrape and brush off the storage wax and your skis are ready to go.

A few minutes of maintenance now can make a big difference to how your skis perform next season.
